Earth Series Paintings I began painting the desert landscapes in the 60s but put aside painting to focus on clay for 30 years. Landscapes as subject material began creeping into my pottery as exterior decorations on vessels glaze paintings on commercial tiles, stoneware mural and mixed media, (plaster on wood). In 2003 I resumed painting, with acrylics starting with the view from my brothers porch in Lake Havasu and have since forged out to the surrounding areas. The paintings include landscapes, geological formations, and pools of desert water. All paintings are finished box form with the painting wrapping around the edge, they do not require frames and are wired to hang.
